Fleece Donation Drive
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Fleece Donation Drive, a heartfelt initiative inspired by our beloved eldest, whose passion and pride in Goosefoot To Ewe continue to fuel our dedication.
Goosefoot To Ewe was born two months before we faced the sudden loss of our eldest last year. He was incredibly proud to see years of hard work come together, and in his memory, we are determined to give back to the amazing charities that have supported us.
Through our long-distance walk initiative, Miles for Matt, we sought a way to consistently support these charities. Thus, we introduce the Fleece Donation Drive.
We understand that many farmers face challenges with fleece disposal due to the lack of profitability and the high costs of shearing. To address this, we are reaching out to farmers, asking them to donate a portion of their fleeces. These donated fleeces will be woven into various products and sold, with a minimum of 50% of the proceeds being split between two wonderful charities: R.A.B.I and Yellow Wellies. The remaining percentage will cover production costs.
Each product will be labeled with the donor’s name and the breed of sheep (where possible), honoring the contributions of our generous farming community. This initiative has already received positive feedback and enthusiasm from our friends, and we are excited to extend it to everyone.
